HP print apps – easy family fun!
Technology is so advanced nowadays with gadgets and gizmos a-plenty; it’s pretty hard to keep up. Luckily our printers don’t really need to be changed as much as we try keep up-to-date with our phones.
Back in the day, when choosing a printer, it was always about print quality and many prints a cartridge of ink can produce. These days, same case but there are WAY MORE functions then there use to be. Kadang2 I pon boleh pening yo!
Printers started out as black and white printers, then colour printers, and then they added a scanner function, then adding a fax machine. But what is awesome is that these new functions are seriously awesome!!
Today, multi-function all-in-one printers with print, scan, copy and fax features are easy to find and now with the new- aged advanced technology, say bye-bye to the hassle of hooking up cables to your computers and laptops. Most printers now also have a built in wi-fi function which allow us to print even from our mobile phones!
I have always been using a HP printer which has been treating me great for many years. As much as i am a tree-hugger, i’m a very physical worker and i need to touch what i read and edit with a pen. I’m old-skool like that.
Recently i received a little gift which was the new HP Ink Advantage 4515 printer which is AWESOME! On top of the printer already producing excellent quality prints and photos, HP had a little addition to the features – Print Apps by HP. These are essentially special print apps available exclusively for use on HP Web-enabled printers. A print app is a shortcut to printing content from the Web directly from your printer, without the use of a computer.
Print apps give you direct access to great pre-formatted content from HP and leading companies from around the world, like Dreamworks, Crayola and Rovio (of Angry Birds fame). You can choose from a growing library of print apps making printing faster, simpler and more useful than ever. And the best of all, these apps are FREE!!! As long as you purchase a HP web-enabled printer, the world of these apps is your oyster!
Steps on how to download exclusive HP Print Apps:
Step 1: Create an HP ePrint Centre account or if you already have an account, log into hp.nu/C3qCA
Step 2: Collect your printer’s claiming code by following the instructions here: hp.nu/C3rdV
Step 3: Click “Add a device” on the Devices tab and enter your printer’s claiming code.
Step 4: All set! You can now browse through the exclusive HP Printables and download them into your HP Printer.
Once you’ve downloaded from HP Printables wide range of free content which include Dreamworks, Angry Birds, High five, Leapfrog, Origami, Math Olympiad onto your HP printer, they will then be available to print out directly from your HP printer without the need of your computer and you can even schedule your prints for automatic delivery on the days you choose.
It’s always lots of fun when it comes to printing because then i can make colour books for my daughter Ariana and even print out worksheets for her as she loves learning. Every day Ariana would be begging me to print out more and more and i wouldn’t have to feel lazy turning on the computer and searching for things to print as it is all already loaded on the printer itself. TOO EASY!!!
Mummy, daddy, don’t fret! There’s stuff for us too! For brain busters like myself, there are crosswords. A big library of recipes are also available for printing for cooking lovers (like myself too) and even apps for those who want to keep up to date with the latest news (NOT like myself).
All in all, HP has been around for the longest time and I can trust them and their printing products. I am always a fan of what they have to offer.
Visit HP Online Store for exciting online promotions, the HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4515 e-All-in-One printer I’m using now is at discount price RM469 only!

Arts and crafts is what Ariana and I love doing together. Because Ariana has sooooo much stationary, we decided to make an art box. It was very simple and it was inspired by something Ariana has watched on youtube which made her love doing it even more.
What you need to make an art box:
- shoe box
- golf ball
- water colour paints
- paper plate for the paint
Using one colour at a time, squeeze paint on a paper plate. Have your little one take the golf ball and roll it into the paint and coat the ball. Put the cover back on the box (don’t worry if your little ones painty fingers get on the cover, it gives a personal touch) and have your child shake and slide the box in all directions letting the ball roll all over the box creating cool lines. Repeat these steps as many times as you like with other colours.
It’s never a bore when it comes to arts and crafts for kids, it’s even better when they can paint with their hands and keep it messy. Just let it be, cleaning up paint isn’t too bad. 😉
I’m a very ourdoorsie kind of person. I’m in love with nature and i hope to bring my children up to love nature too. For many, the weather is always pretty hot in Kuala Lumpur which makes us all dread to wanna take our kids anywhere the sun shines. We tend to go to places with air-conditioning ie; the mall. Those there may be may places which provide things to do for your littles, children do need fresh air and lots of sunshine for their development.
Having a day out with more than one child requires planning. While planning, here are a number of things to be considered in to making sure your day goes well.
- Weather – The weather in KL is usually hot and humid. Outdoor fun is usually best done either early in the morning or late afternoon. Make sure you bring enough water (although water is sold everywhere) and sunscreen.
- Location – Most attractions are located in Kuala Lumpur city centre. Although there are many in the suburbs as well. Peak hours are madness making traffic insane between 7am-9am and 5pm-8pm. Public transport isn’t too pricey. Trains take you all around town and the Klang Valley but a taxi would usually be necessary from the station to your destination.
- Children Age/height – The activities you choose should suitable with childs age or else there would be someone left out of all the fun. Some attractions for children required a minimum age and/height. Kindly visit the respective theme park official website for aged and height recommendations.
- Cost – Find an activity which fits your budget. For tourists, some out of town activities would require chartering a taxi/car. If possible, book all inclusive packages which include meals, entry tickets and transportation. This would be perfect for budgeting your holiday/outing.
Here are a few of my favourite places to take my girls outdoors.
- KL BIRD PARK
The bird park has always been one of our favourite places to go. Located just 5 minutes from the city centre in the serene and scenic famous Lake Gardens, the KL Bird park is also well known as the “World’s Largest Free-flight Walk-in Aviary”. Birds fly freely as you walk about and peacocks flaunting their trains during mating or lekking season on the very paths you walk on. There are bird shows twice a day, bird feeding throughout the day (but at certain times) and there are also opportunities to take a picture with the birds in many corners of the park. Have a birthday coming up? You can even throw a birthday party with a package which provides a private tour of the park! Too cool!
The park is open daily from 9am-6pm.
Which child does not like going to the zoo? The KL zoo may not be the best zoo to go to as many may say, I personally feel that it’s because the lack of funds and manpower, however, it’s always nice to go anyway. Ariana is in love with all animals great and small. The zoo is always a place to allow her to explore and appreciate both the flora and fauna. There is a sea-lion and bird show which happens twice a day daily where you can also take pictures with the animals which is great fun! There is a tram ride, at a small charge, for those who cant be bothered walking. Best part of all, there are food stop located all around the zoo which are AIR CONDITIONED! :p If you and your family would like, you can even adopt an animal. Visit here for more info. We’ve just got some panda’s in too!!
The zoo is open daily from 9am-5pm and local entry fee differ from tourist entry fees.
Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur
Playgrounds, boat rides and horseback riding. This is one place where your child will fall in love with the outdoors. We take Ariana to this park so she can ride the horses almost every weekend and it is super duper cheap! She adores horses and already has her favourite horse she insists on riding every time we take her. After riding, there are little stalls you can hang out at for a drink and snack or if you want, pack some food and have a picnic by the lake. Maybe bring a kite and you could fly them about at the empty spaces around. Horseback riding sessions are available every weekend, public holidays and school holidays twice a day from 9am-12pm and 3pm-6pm. For horse riding, charges are RM1.50 for adults and RM1.00 for children for 1 round. A trainer is at hand to walk the horse with the rider. Horse drawn carriage rides are also available at RM1.00 for adults and RM0.50 for children for 1 round for groups of 4-5 people. Parking is full almost all the time so be ready for some traffic and time in the car hunting for a space unless you decide to take public transport. If you don’t mind the travel, there are a few fun places to go out of town which you could take account. Traveling will take no more than 2 hours either place and worth every second of the journey.
- FIRE FLY PARK, Kuala Selangor
We have yet to make it to the firefly park as a family because of my
“skema”strict sleeping schedule but its definately on our to-do list as I have been there as a child. Fireflies (also known as kelip-kelip in malay meaning ‘blink-blink’) all are found along the river on the mangrove tree species called berembang. It is said that Kuala Selangor has one of the largest firefly colonies in the world.
Operating hours are usually between 7pm – 10.30pm daily (except for rainy days).
TANAH AINA, Raub, Pahang
For a more exciting weekend adventure, Tanah Aina has always been our number one jungle retreat. Located just over an hour away from the city centre, there is no place better than an ultimate 5 star camping trip in the worlds oldest tropical rain forest to take you away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Prices are all inclusive of food, accommodation (tents, dorms and chalets), jungle tracking and morning walk to watch the sun rise. However, there are additional charges for the flying fox and other extra activities. For the mummy’s who want to relax while daddy takes over, there is a spa which will just do the trick!
Carrie Junior and I go way back. Well, not really waayyy back but about more than a year now. The first time Carrie Junior and I worked together was when Ariana was almost 2years old and we were asked to give their new Carrie Junior detangling shampoo. At the event, Ariana was to get her hair done. Dah la lambat, when we got on stage, Ariana’s hair was so tangled up pulak, HAHAHA!! but that’s only because we had just had sushi and she got the rice in her hair.. (it happens to everyone, right? not just me, RIGHT?!)
Since our first box of products we had received from Carrie Junior, we never used any other product really. Not only because we didn’t need to buy any more product because we had enough to last us a year but it was because the smell is so good, Carrie Junior’s detangling shampoo was really effective, and Ariana loves the pink elephant mascot! 🙂
My favourite Carrie Junior item just has to be the milk bath wash (which I use for myself too), detangling shampoo, Groovy Grapeberry and Cherry Baby. I never use to use baby oils and the likes but because Ameera started to get a flaky scalp, I thought I would give it a try and alhamdulillah within a week after mixing the baby oil into her bath water, her scalp cleared out. Maybe the same thing could work with dandruff too? NOT THAT I HAVE ANY, alhamdulillah! haha!
Ariana of course loves the different colours of the liquids.. She puts them in bowls at bath time telling me that she’s making sushi, cakes and ice-cream, that it’s food colouring.. too funny la this little girl!
I can’t be more thankful for how blessed my girls are to be getting such wonderful gifts from such wonderful people. Carrie Junior was our first step after using SebaMed which was the only product we used once Ariana and Ameera were born. Can’t be more happier! 😀
Entertainment is always a must have for your littles birthday party. There is always your usual magician and clown but if you have space and lots of wind, there is KAPTEN BUEH BOSSA!! (captain big bubbles) A new up and coming fad going on is giant bubbles and they are so much fun for both littles and adults.
Even if there were no other games or entertainers around, Kapten Bueh Bossa never fails to liven up a party. Not only does he perform, he also allows guests to try making giants bubbles for themselves. Well worth the money, so much fun!
For bookings, Kapten Bueh Bossa can be contacted firstname.lastname@example.org
