“Let’s go to the zoo, there’s lots of things to do and the food is finger licking good!”
If you can’t remember this jingle, you were born in a great era! hehehe…
We went to Zoo Negara recently and I must say, it wasn’t like it was a year or so ago.. There’s lots of upgrading going on and they say it’ll only be ready but August 2016.. To be honest, I’m glad they’ve actually done something to improve the place..
I’m not a big fan of zoo’s only because I don’t really like seeing animals confined in small spaces when they should actually be out in the wild but at the same time, zoo’s make a good conservation to the animals which are threatened of extinction. I mean, just recently, the Sumatran rhino has been officially declared extinct in the wild.. yup.. very sad and very true.. 🙁 So when it comes to news like this, i give the zoo’s my support.
Few years ago we went to the Sabah zoo and it was far much better. So yeah, Zoo Negara is being improved and I’m glad because our zoo is a pretty sad one. What we did see new was the butterfly garden (Ariana calls it the Butterfly Imagination Garden).. So beautiful!! And the new bear confinement was nice too.. Maybe they could do with some better food stalls though.. welling heathy foods maybe?
Oh! There amphitheater was also closed for renovation so there was on sea lion show or anything.. what they did have was a little mini-show which was also not so bad.. the only slack about that was that the tourists couldn’t understand a thing as the host was speaking in malay..
What was a bummer is that tourists were throwing POPCORN at the monkeys.. I’m skema ok.. I see stuff like that going on, I immediately go and report it.. I really don’t mind if you were feeding fruits or foods of their diet but popcorn? seriously?
All in all, the girls had a great time (so did mummy!)! Ariana is already planning her next trip to the zoo and which friends she will be inviting.. I love her and her enthusiast. Can’t wait for Ameera to get to her level!
